About Us

Students
The 2008-2009 Project BLAST roster includes 50 students from Evanston-Skokie School District 65, Aurora School District 129 and Antioch School District 34  -- all in Illinois. Participants say they feel “honored” and “lucky” to be chosen. Project BLAST started last year with only 30 students. Next year, the final year for which current funding allows, Project BLAST will grow to 80 gifted students from low- to moderate-income families and give them educational opportunities they would not otherwise be able to afford.
