Civic Education Project: service learning field studies for oustanding middle and high school students
CTD's Civic Education Project
Students

Bright. Motivated. Civic-minded. Interested…and interesting.
Civic Education Project (CEP) participants are all these things, and CEP alumni are all these things and more.

Perhaps it’s the intensity of the curriculum or the moving encounters students have during service projects.

Maybe it is a meaningful conversation with a staff member over breakfast or the camaraderie of talking – and connecting – with a diverse group of smart, capable and ambitious peers late into the night.

Likely it is the sum of all these things that continually prompts students to call CEP programs “eye-opening,” “thought-provoking,” “inspiring” and “life-changing.”

As a result of their CEP experiences, students are, indeed, forever changed. While CEP programs are only one to three weeks long, the impact of a CEP experience lasts a lifetime. For this reason, one of the best ways to get to know CEP students is to meet a few alumni.
