During the academic year, CEP brings together diverse groups of teenagers for intensive service-learning immersion experiences in host communities around the country.
- CivicWeekend programs are held in the fall and spring to introduce middle school students to contemporary social issues facing urban communities over the course of two days spent in downtown Chicago.
- CivicWeek programs are held in the spring in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. Each weeklong program allows outstanding high school students to examine a specific social issue through meaningful service work, meetings with government, business and community leaders, team building, reflection and fun.
