School Year 2009-10 Staff Positions

We are now hiring for Fall 2009.
Applications for Spring 2010 will be available in January.

During the academic year, CEP brings together diverse groups of teenagers for intensive service-learning immersion experiences in host communities around the country.
  • CivicWeekend programs are held in the fall and spring to introduce middle school students to contemporary social issues facing urban communities over the course of two days spent in downtown Chicago.
  • CivicWeek programs are held in the spring in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. Each weeklong program allows outstanding high school students to examine a specific social issue through meaningful service work, meetings with government, business and community leaders, team building, reflection and fun.
Staff positions include Lead Facilitators and Assistant Facilitators, as well as Residential Program Assistants for our CivicWeekend programs. Staff are employed for two-day to one-week sessions in the fall or spring, plus a staff training session, and generally receive a cash stipend plus room, board, and travel.
