Financial Aid
Apply for Financial Aid from CEP
Students seeking aid are encouraged to apply early, as funds are limited and granted on a rolling basis. Students seeking aid are also encouraged to apply for the payment plan, as financial aid awards typically do not cover the entire tuition fee.
Aid awards are based on family income and extenuating circumstances. Requests for assistance typically exceed resources. The average adjusted gross income of those families receiving aid in 2008 was under $35,000. For this reason, families are discouraged from applying for financial aid if their adjusted gross income is greater than $50,000.
Students who wish to apply for financial aid should submit a Financial Aid Application along with all supporting documentation. Financial aid applicants are expected to pay the application fee and tuition deposit. Applicants will not be considered for financial aid until all admissions and financial aid materials have been received. An award letter reflecting the amount of financial aid granted and balance due is sent with the acceptance packet.
Seek Other Sources of Support
We strongly suggest that students with need also seek outside financial support. Students who are admitted to the program should start sending out letters soliciting additional funds right away. Local religious or community organizations, businesses, local government offices, friends and relatives are all potential sources of support. In addition, local schools and private agencies often provide summer scholarships for talented students.
Consider the Payment Plan
Payment plans are available for all applicants. For payment plan applications, information on payment plan policies and additional financial aid policies, please refer to the:
The Civic Education Project (CEP) aims to ensure that our programming is accessible to all students who wish to attend, regardless of financial circumstances. A limited amount of need-based financial aid is available.
