Apply to CLI Now! (CTY)

Step 1: Prepare Application Materials

 
A complete application consists of the following:
  • Application for Admission. You may Apply Online, download a 2012 CTY Summer Program Application or contact us to request a catalog and application materials by e-mail or mail.
    • To apply for CTY CLI using the downloaded version of the application, please enter the following information on Part V (page 2) of the CTY Summer Program Application:
      • For CTY CLI in Baltimore:
        Course Code = LEAD; Site Code = PBD; Session = 1; Course Title = Civic Leadership Institute
      • For CTY CLI in San Francisco:
        Course Code = LEAD; Site Code = BRK; Session = 2; Course Title = Civic Leadership Institute
  • Student Essay, approximately 250 words, conceived of and written by the applicant, describing his/her reasons for wanting to attend the CTY Civic Leadership Institute and what s/he hopes to gain from participation in the program. Submit the essay via email to ctycli@jhu.edu.
  • SAT I score or equivalent nationally-normed standardized achievement test score
  • Application Fee & Tuition Deposit
  • Financial Aid Application (if applicable), including all supporting documentation
    • Note that the Financial Aid Application must be submitted with the Summer Program Application either online or via paper application.

Applications must be received by April 14, 2012*. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and space is limited, so students are encouraged to apply early to increase their chances of being accepted into the program.

Late applications are accepted and considered as space in the program permits. Applications received April 15, 2012 or later are assessed a $25 late fee. Late registration closes on May 26, 2012 for Session 1 (Baltimore), and June 23, 2012 for Session 2 (Berkeley).
