Step 1: Prepare Application Materials

*Student Essay: All applicants are required to submit a one-page, approximately 250-word essay, conceived of and written by the applicant, describing his/her reasons for wanting to attend the Civic Leadership Institute and what s/he hopes to gain from participation in the program.
**International Applicants: Non-US citizens are required to have the appropriate student visa and passport to attend summer programs in the US. International applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by April 1, 2012, as it may take up to 10 weeks to secure a visa.

| Applications to the CTD Civic Leadership Institute must be postmarked or submitted online by May 14, 2012. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and space is limited, so students are encouraged to apply early to increase their chances of being accepted into the program. Late applications are accepted and considered as space in the program permits. Applications postmarked or submitted online after May 14, 2012 must be accompanied by payment in full and an additional $50 late fee. |
