The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and the Civic Education Project are pleased to present CivicWeek for Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars in Summer 2012. CivicWeek is a high quality service-learning immersion program exclusively for Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars completing grades 9 - 12.
CivicWeek for Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars
Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars are called upon to be strong in character and leadership and to contribute some of their considerable talents toward improving the lives of others. CivicWeek is a great way to get started!
Each CivicWeek program combines meaningful, hands-on service, meetings with prominent professionals and community leaders, reflection, team building, and fun in one of the nation's most dynamic cities. CivicWeek participants come away from their experience more knowledgeable about pressing social problems and more motivated and prepared to engage in positive social change. Perhaps most importantly, they leave confident that they have been part of the solution, positively impacting the communities they have served.
