	Laura: College Junior, Vocal Advocate Growing up, Laura considered herself “a shy kid.” Now a junior at Brown University, she is helping to edit a book of essays encouraging intergenerational communication. 	Danika: Teacher, Active Volunteer Danika, an alumna of multiple CivicWeek trips, claims that the Civic Education Project (CEP) “lit the fire” under her to become a teacher. She is now in her 3rd year teaching math at Lakeview High School within the Chicago Public Schools. “I had the most vibrant education experiences of my life during my CEP trips, and I wanted to bring that vibrancy to the classroom.” Read more...
