| Applicants to the Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) courses and applicants applying as a school group may not apply online. Though we strongly encourage online applications in all other cases, you may download the Gifted LearningLinks Application for Admission (or full Catalog) or request a catalog and application by e-mail. |
In addition to the completed application, please prepare the following materials. Home schooled applicants, please prepare a Home School Admission Portfolio as detailed below:
- Most recent school report card indicating exceptional performance in the subject area of the GLL course for which you are applying
- Two recommendations from teachers familiar with a student’s work in the subject area of the course for which they are applying for admission
- Most recent test scores, if available.
- Total course payment, including nonrefundable application fee, tuition and any applicable lab fees. See Tuition for details.
- Financial Aid Application, if applicable, and all supplementary documentation. See Financial Aid for details.
- Proof of prerequisite course completion, if applicable. Either a report card or transcript serves as an acceptable form of proof. See course descriptions for prerequisites or the Course Reference Chart to determine if a course requires prerequisites
- Writing sample, required only for AP® courses in English Literature, English Language, Psychology, U.S., European and World History. Writing samples can be graded school assignments that highlight applicant’s ability to synthesize, analyze and evaluate information and ideas.
In addition to a completed application, home schooled students’ Admission Portfolios must include the following materials:
- Two recommendations from adults unrelated to you.
- Parent’s statement describing the student’s learning in the appropriate academic area over the past year, including references to curriculum, books, projects, activities, etc. for the student.
- Copies of the student's best work in the appropriate academic area
- Copies of teacher evaluations from any classes taken from umbrella schools, co-ops, etc.
- Copies of any available standardized test reports taken in the last 24 months
- Copy of transcript or grade report for current academic year (please indicate if this was produced by a parent)
- Any other information that might help us gain insight into the student’s academic strengths and place him/her in the appropriate course.
