Explore creative, social, political and career interests with like-minded students.  Joining an extracurricular club may bring you in contact with students you didn't know who share your interests and curiosity!

Gifted LearningLinks (GLL) extracurricular clubs allow students in grades 3 through 10 to explore topics of their own choosing in an extracurricular format. Clubs are formed and organized by students under the direction of a faculty advisor.  They are formed through a student proposal and must be approved by GLL program staff.  Each club offers student leadership opportunities, depending on the club's organization and goals.

GLL extracurricular clubs allow students to have meaningful opportunities to interact not only with their instructors, but also with other gifted classmates (i.e., their cohort). Students participate in online discussions, work on collaborative projects and/or attend real-time meetings with like-minded peers. Faculty advisors make every effort to schedule real-time meetings around busy schedules. When attendance is not possible, students can access recordings of the real-time meetings anytime after they occur.

There are no specific admission prerequisites for GLL extracurricular clubs.  They are open to past and present CTD students in grades 3 through 10.  Tuition for membership to a club is $100/student/club/18-weeks.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal to start a GLL club, complete the Proposal Form and submit it to gll@northwestern.edu or fax it to 847/491-3394.

For a list of available clubs to join, check this web page and/or sign up for the club mailing list by sending an e-mail to gll@northwestern.edu.
