Eligibility

Gifted LearningLinks is designed for academically talented students in kindergarten through grade 12. Applicants can demonstrate eligibility through qualifying test scores or through a compelling Admission Portfolio.

Qualifying Test Scores
Enrichment courses are for students in grades 3 through 8 and require scores in the 95th percentile and above on a nationally normed test in math, reading or both, depending on the course. Participation in a Talent Search can also qualify a student. Please see the course descriptions or the Course Reference Chart for details.

Honors, Honors Elective and AP® courses are for students in grades 6 through 12 and require students to take the EXPLORE test while in grade 6 or the SAT or ACT while in grades 6 through 9. Score requirements vary by course, so please see the course descriptions or the Course Reference Chart for details. If a student does not have qualifying test scores, or is above grade 9, please apply using an Admission Portfolio.

Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) courses are for students in kindergarten through grade 7 and require scores in the 95th percentile or above on a nationally normed test in math or reading, depending on the course. For EPGY’s university level math courses, students must have one of the following scores: SAT Math ≥ 540 or ACT Math ≥ 20.
