Evaluations, Grades & Credit
Enrichment Course Evaluation
Students taking enrichment courses receive a narrative evaluation upon completion of the course, detailing the work accomplished and recommendations for further study.
Honors, Honors Elective and AP Course Evaluation and Academic Credit
Students taking honors, honors elective and AP® courses receive a grade and written evaluation at the conclusion of the first and second semester. Upon completion of the course, students receive an official Center for Talent Development (CTD) transcript with their course grade(s). If requested, CTD can send an evaluation and transcript to a designated high school.
Given Center for Talent Development’s accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as a Special Function School, CTD can grant high school credit for successful completion (grade of C or better) for GLL’s honors and AP® courses. Each course carries the equivalent of one year of high school credit. Whether a school accepts the credit depends on that school’s institutional policy about the recognition of credit from outside schools.
Students who wish to receive credit for a course or have it considered as part of their school’s schedule should discuss this option with their academic counselor or school administrator before applying to Gifted LearningLinks.
