Schools

Every school strives to give its brightest students the challenging course work that they need, but sometimes financial and staff constraints get in the way. To help schools provide a flexible, cost-effective solution for academically talented students who need challenges, Center for Talent Development offers Gifted LearningLinks for Schools.

Why partner with GiftedLearningLinks?

  • Flexibility. We offer online enrichment, high school honors, and AP® courses that students can complete independently or in small groups, during a free period or study hall at school, after school or at home.
  • Expertise. Experienced instructors with subject matter expertise teach our courses and communicate with students via e-mail, discussion boards, synchronous web conferencing software and telephone. Plus, our partner schools have access to the wealth of research and professional development resources provided by Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development.
  • Ease. We combine the latest in technology with a wealth of support, from an online tutorial and one-week orientation to answers to frequently asked questions and more. We are committed to ensuring students’ time is spent not on troubleshooting, but on learning course material.
  • Affordability. We offer a special tuition rate for schools signing up five or more students!
  • Accreditation.  Center for Talent Development is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as a "Special Function School." Accreditation enables CTD to grant high school credit for rigorous courses like Gifted LearningLink’s honors and AP® courses. Not only that, accreditation signifies that an objective party has deemed CTD and all its programs to be student-oriented, continuously improving, and dedicated to delivering on our promises.
School groups may not apply online, but rather should make use of our print application - with one application submitted for each student specifying his or her Academic Liaison. Please use our cover sheet to ensure prompt processing. Contact Gifted LearningLinks program coordinator at gll@northwestern.edu for more information.
