Center for Talent Development’s annual NUMATS Award Ceremony is hosted on Northwestern University’s campus and recognizes tremendous academic achievement, while exposing families to current Northwestern students and faculty. Award recipients have scored in the top two to three percent on tests taken through NUMATS. Each year current Northwestern students attend to discuss their own academic pathways, while a renowned Northwestern professor presents new ideas and guidance.
The NUMATS Award Ceremony is dedicated to
NUMATS students and families enjoy gathering at an event in which their unique abilities are celebrated, and where every other student present has a similar passion for learning.
The 2016 NUMATS Award Ceremony features Dr. Michael Smutko, Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University, and who also oversees the operation of the Dearborn Telescope.
Center for Talent Development also sponsors state ceremonies in six Midwestern states in order to recognize even more high achieving students. Students recognized at these ceremonies have scored in the top five percent.
