About Test Centers
EXPLORE, ACT and SAT test centers have been established by schools, colleges and universities throughout the region NUMATS serves and beyond. When students register for NUMATS, they choose two test centers if possible. NUMATS sends these requests to the testing agencies, which will try to assign students to one of their test center choices. If neither test center is available (either because it has filled or because it has closed), the testing agency will assign the student to the nearest available test center.
Students who register early and who choose two test centers are more likely to be assigned to one of them than those who register close to a test registration deadline or who choose only one test center.
Important: Students should check their admission ticket as soon as it arrives to see where they have been assigned to take the test. Do not assume that you have been assigned to the test center you chose when you registered. If both test centers you request are not available, you will be assigned to a different test center.
Changing Test Centers
After NUMATS sends your registration to the testing agency, we cannot make changes to your test center choices. You may be able to change your test center by calling the testing agency and paying a fee.
