For Educators

What are some good, basic resources on giftedness for teachers?

  • See CTD's annotated bibiliography; listed there are many of the best books for educators on issues about giftedness.
  • Most states have a state-level advocacy organization for gifted education and gifted children (To locate your state’s organization, go to NAGC). Typically these organizations sponsor workshops and classes for educators to learn about gifted education; many also hold annual conferences that provide a wealth of speakers on topics of giftedness.
  • The National Association for Gifted Children can also provide information about universities offering classes and degree programs in gifted education.
