Case for Support – Why Donate

The Center for Talent Development needs your support. As anthropologist Margaret Mead wrote, "If we are to achieve a richer culture . . . we must recognize the whole gamut of human potentialities."

  • Recognized quality. CTD is the only accredited center for gifted education, with courses and programming recognized as substantial alternatives for standard school curriculum. The Center is firmly rooted in the Northwestern University community, a top-ranked academic institution and research facility.
  • A history of excellence. For over 20 years, CTD has been developing its programs and growing its services for gifted students, their families, and educators.
  • Filling the gap. With state legislation taking away monies previously dedicated for gifted education, families need to do more on their own to help maximize their gifted child's future successes. CTD provides support and resources for families inadequately served by local school programs.
  • Committed to under-identified talented students. Academically talented individuals exist in every racial and ethnic group. CTD is committed to identifying and supporting students who otherwise would never participate in the gifted programs they need.
