Daniella has many words to describe the Saturday Enrichment Program – “lifechanging, brain-stretching, and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” among them. She also offers sage advice to SEP newcomers: “Remember to bring a pencil, the snack machine is cool and the teacher is even better!” Daniella has taken all the Story to Stage courses that SEP offers, and she says the instructor, “Drama Donna,” is the best. “She taught me about Shakespeare and how to design costumes,” says Daniella. “I love her so much!” Saturday Enrichment Program courses are designed to capitalize on a student’s strengths and interests, and Daniella revels in this approach. “It isn’t homework; it is what I love,” she says of her SEP course work. “I get to write stories and plays and design costumes and act, too. Sign me up for life!” |
