Kiana’s mom enrolled her in the Saturday Enrichment Program in response to Kiana’s complaints regarding not learning anything exciting in school. Kiana describes SEP as “fun” and says she liked her teacher because “she was really nice and had a pretty smile.” After the first Oceans class, Kiana stunned her mom by explaining the theory of Pangaea. By EXPO time at the end of the session, Kiana impressed everyone with a delightful presentation about the Green Sea Turtle. The Saturday Enrichment Program’s emphasis on hands-on learning was the perfect antidote to Kiana’s concerns, and she is eager to enroll in her next SEP class! |
