Safety & Conduct
The Saturday Enrichment Program (SEP) takes every reasonable step to ensure the safety and well-being of SEP students, including the following:
Exceptional Educators
Center for Talent Development (CTD) selects Saturday Enrichment Program instructors based on their subject matter mastery, experience, enthusiasm, teaching style and ability to respond to the needs of individual students. They all pass a thorough security and background screening prior to being hired. SEP instructors are particularly skilled at providing interesting and thought-provoking learning experiences designed specifically for academically talented young people.
Proper Supervision
Inside the classroom, SEP participants thrive in an organized, comfortable environment and benefit from a low student-to-staff ratio. SEP courses are limited to 18 students. All PreK through grade 3 classes and all classes with 12 or more students have a teaching assistant in addition to an instructor.
High Standards for Student Conduct
In order to maintain a safe and inviting learning environment, all Saturday Enrichment Program participants must adhere to the CTD Honor Code. The Honor Code establishes standards and expectations for student behavior and reflects CTD's commitment to fostering character development, integrity and respect for diversity.
Your Privacy
The Center for Talent Development (CTD) at Northwestern University is committed to protecting the privacy rights of any child and specifically those rights as outlined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
