Parking Information
General Information
- Parking at Northwestern University (NU) is a challenge. Give yourself plenty of time to get around campus, park and walk to various locations.
- Permits are required in NU lots Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Check lot signs for lots with extended permit hours or weekend restrictions. Vehicles parked in lots without a permit will be ticketed, and CTD is not responsible for parking tickets received by Summer Program students and families.
- Vehicles parked in fire lanes, blocking traffic, in reserved spots, or limiting access to campus facilities at any time will be ticketed and/or towed.
- Friday is a regular NU work day, so lots and side streets around the dorms will be full and permits will be required to park. The North Beach and South Beach parking lots (east of Sheridan Road off Lincoln to the north and Campus Drive to the south) will be THE ONLY LOTS available to CTD parents to park without a permit between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Be patient and give yourself plenty of time!
- University Police will be on site to help direct traffic on University Place (Apogee & Spectrum).
- Signs will be posted directing families to the pick-up locations.
