Our Programs

The Center for Talent Development Summer Program is comprised of Leapfrog, Spark, Solstice, ApogeeSpectrum, Equinox and Civic Leadership Institute, each designed with a specific age group in mind. 

Whether students choose to be residents or commuters, and whether they participate for a single one-week session, a two-week session, or up to two three-week sessions, depending on the program, all participants enjoy innovative, engaging courses; expert, enthusiastic instruction; and a diverse, vibrant learning community.

Leapfrog - grades preK-3 Leapfrog
Engages bright students PreK through grade 3 in the joy of learning through hands-on activities designed to nurture curious young minds

Spark
Encourages academically gifted students completing grade 4 (or 5 at the Elmhurst site) to challenge themselves by taking exciting, hands-on enrichment courses in a college campus setting with like-minded peers
 
Solstice
Propels gifted and talented students completing grades 4 through 6 to higher achievement levels in a safe, nurturing environment while developing long-lasting social relationships and solid academic skills through engaging, innovative courses
 Apogee - grades 4-6 Apogee
Inspires outstanding students completing grades 4 through 6 to realize their full potential through in-depth immersion in a topic of interest and friendships formed among classmates with shared passions and abilities
 Spectrum - grades 7,8 Spectrum
Prepares gifted students completing grades 7 and 8 for rigorous college preparatory curricula through intensive, accelerated courses integrated with fun campus and cultural opportunities
 Equinox- grades 9-12 Equinox
Challenges academically talented students completing grades 9 through 12 to stretch themselves academically and socially in preparation for collegiate and career success

Civic Leadership Institute
Empowers motivated students completing grades 9 through 12 to learn, serve and explore complex challenges that affect communities and develop leadership skills to make a positive impact on society
