Apogee

The Apogee program combines a rigorous academic enrichment experience with fun and exciting social opportunities for academically talented students completing grades 4 through 6. Students study at a world-class university, engage in wonderful recreational and social activities, experience the cultural riches of a great city and have opportunities to make lifelong friendships with peers.


In 2010, Apogee One-Week will have a new name: Spark!

Apogee is offered as a one-week program for academically talented students completing grade 4 as well as a three-week program for academically talented students completing grades 4 through 6. All Apogee programs offer courses in English and writing, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, computers and science. All Apogee courses stretch a student’s academic and social skills while inspiring a love of learning.

Apogee participants… maximize their potential by learning at an appropriate pace. engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary, independent and cooperative activities. acquire and strengthen a positive attitude toward academic success. thrive under enthusiastic teachers who recognize talent and encourage achievement. expand their knowledge and apply what they learn in creative and fascinating ways. make friends with classmates who are bright and motivated – just like them.
