In addition to the completed application, please prepare the following materials:
- Proof of prerequisite course completion, if applicable (transcript or letter from the teacher). See course descriptions for prerequisites.
- Two teacher recommendations.
- Most recent school report card or transcript indicating exceptional performance in the subject area of the Summer Program course for which you are applying
- Most recent test scores, if available, on a nationally normed, grade level achievement test for the academic area for which you are applying
- Recent graded writing sample (if applying for writing-intensive course)
- A 250-word essay completely conceived of and written by the applicant on the following topic: Tell us about an activity (for example, a contest, sports camp, big school project, etc.) you chose to do because you loved the subject, but it required you to work hard. What was the hardest challenge you faced? How did you stay motivated and not give up? What was the coolest thing you learned (about yourself or the subject)?
- Check or money order payable to Center for Talent Development. Please include tuition deposit of $200 per session (full tuition plus $50 late fee if applying after May 14, 2012) and non-refundable application fee of $60. Only one application fee is required per student, regardless of the number of sessions for which a student applies.
