Commuter Life
Commuter Life
Apogee students who prefer to reside at home while participating in the Summer Program may choose to commute. Lunch is provided to all Apogee commuter students.
Commuter students and residents take the same courses and are responsible for the same assignments. Apogee commuter students are dropped off and picked up at a central location monitored by Summer Program commuter counselors.
Activities
Commuter students are invited to participate in afternoon activities at no additional cost. Commuters normally leave campus by 5 p.m. on weekdays after activities, but they are also highly encouraged to attend evening study sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Carpool
For the convenience of its commuter students, CTD provides a carpool list via email approximately one week before the session's start date. Please indicate your interest in being included on this list by checking the carpool list box on the Apogee Application for Admission.
Campus Access
Students have access to many of the University facilities, including recreational sites, the library, and the student center.
Health Services
All Summer Program participants should be covered by a major medical insurance policy. If a student becomes ill, family members are called immediately. In the event that a student does not have medical insurance, families are responsible for any medical fees incurred by their student.
