International Applicants
CTD welcomes applications from international students. If you are an international student and wish to attend the Summer Program, please complete the Application for Admission and follow the guidelines for new students with qualifying test scores, prequalified students, or admission portfolio applicants as described in the previous section entitled Domestic Applicants. We strongly encourage international applicants to apply by April 1, 2009, as it may take up to 10 weeks to secure a visa. Students for whom English is not a first language may be asked to submit a graded writing sample. In order to cover the increased cost of mailings and processing, the International Application fee is $110.

Visa and Passport Requirements for International Applicants (non-U.S. citizens)
  • Non-U.S. citizens are required to have the appropriate student visa (for more information visit www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1268.html). Allow a minimum of eight weeks to complete this process.
  • All non-U.S. citizens are required to have a passport to attend summer programs in the U.S. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after the completion of the program.
  • CTD strongly recommends applying before April 1, 2009, as it may take eight to 10 weeks to secure a visa. Students must have the appropriate documents completed in order to participate in the program.
