Leapfrog

Leapfrog, Center for Talent Development’s biggest and fastest-growing summer program, provides innovative academic enrichment courses for students PreK through grade 3 with strong math and/or verbal ability.

Leapfrog half-day classes meet three hours a day. Leapfrog also has an all-day program for students completing grade 3 and ready to study one subject in depth. Most courses meet Monday through Friday, for one week, and students may attend one, two or three weeks of courses. Each course includes substantial and engaging hands-on activities designed to help youngsters acquire and practice new concepts in challenging and interesting ways. Leapfrog students not only enjoy thorough and in-depth explorations of science, math, technology and English and writing topics, they also have fun learning, talking and connecting with other smart kids who share their interests and abilities.

With expertise in gifted and early childhood education, Leapfrog teachers create a dynamic learning environment suited for the stimulation of curious young minds. By incorporating technology and proven practices for teaching gifted children, Leapfrog teachers enhance classroom study and ensure that students are challenged and engaged – never bored!

Leapfrog participants…
  • learn at a pace suited to their abilities.
  • thrive under enthusiastic, master teachers who recognize talent and encourage achievement.
  • expand their knowledge and apply what they learn in creative and fascinating ways.
  • make friends with classmates who are bright, motivated and curious – just like them.
