The Summer Program’s Spectrum courses provide accelerated learning experiences specifically for academically talented students completing grades 7 and 8 by summer 2009. Students completing grade 9 may also apply. Spectrum combines rigorous academic experiences with fun and exciting social opportunities. Students study at a world-class university and enjoy challenging and engaging courses, wonderful recreational and social activities, the cultural riches of a great city and opportunities to make lifelong friendships with peers.

Spectrum offers courses in English and writing, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, computers and science. All Spectrum courses are taught at the high school honors level by highly qualified instructors, and each course carries one or two semesters of high school credit.

Spectrum participants…

  • prepare for success in future honors and advanced placement courses.
  • earn academic credit.
