Step 2: Prepare Pre-qualified Application Materials

Not sure if you are a prequalified applicant? Go back to Step 1 to find out. Remember: you are considered prequalified only if you have successfully completed a Spectrum course in the same subject area of the course for which you are now applying.
In addition to the completed application, please prepare the following materials:

In addition to the completed application, please prepare the following materials:
- Proof of prerequisite course completion, if applicable (transcript or letter from the teacher). See course descriptions for prerequisites.
- Graded writing assignment for the following courses: all English and writing courses, history courses and social science courses.
- A 250-word essay completely conceived of and written by the applicant on the following topic: What is success? Describe a time when you were successful (or unsuccessful) and how that experience impacted you. Discuss what you learned and define the qualities that you possess that will help you to be successful in the Spectrum program.
- Check or money order payable to Center for Talent Development
Please include tuition deposit of $200 per session (plus $50 late fee if applying after May 14, 2012) and non-refundable application fee of $60. Only one application fee is required per student, regardless of the number of courses for which a student applies. - Financial Aid Application, if applicable, and all supplementary documentation. - TOEFL or SLEP scores if you are a non-U.S. citizen whose first language is not English.
