Dates & Locations

Spectrum offers two three-week sessions at Northwestern University’s Evanston campus, where students have the option of being residents or commuters.

Classes meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. except for the final Friday of each session, when classes end at noon.

Students who would like to participate in Spectrum but prefer a two-week course can select from several options during Session 2.  Search Spectrum courses to see what two-week options are available.

Spectrum students take classes on Northwestern University's Evanston campus. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan in suburban Evanston, Illinois, Northwestern's 240-acre campus provides a variety of recreational venues in addition to a library, student center, labs and other facilities. From the home base of Evanston, students have access to a variety of educational and recreational opportunities in the greater Chicago area.
