Tuition

The course tuition includes the cost of tuition and all materials. Parents with Flexible Spending Accounts may choose to take advantage of the tuition reimbursement option. Contact CTD to obtain information or receive assistance with this process.

The following chart provides information on tuition & fees for 2009:

Notes:
  • Residential fees cover tuition, room and board for the entire session, books, materials, and health center fees.
  • Commuter fees include tuition, books, materials, and lunch.
  • Selected courses carry a lab fee of $35, $110 or $150 depending on the course (see course descriptions).
  • All Apogee, Spectrum and Equinox applications must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $60 ($110 for international applications) and a tuition deposit of $200 for a total of $260 ($310 for international applicants). Payment in full and a non-refundable late fee of $50 must accompany each application postmarked after May 22, 2009.
  • Students applying for more than one session of Apogee, Spectrum or Equinox need pay only one application fee, but must remit tuition deposits for each session.
  • Tuition balances must be paid by check, money order or credit card (MC/VISA) within 30 days of a student’s acceptance in the program. For applications submitted within a week of the deadline date, the final payment is due upon acceptance to the program. If an application is postmarked after May 22, 2009, payment must be made in full at the time of application, including the $50 late fee.
  • Students with an outstanding balance after June 1, 2009, may lose their place in the program.
  • Students who applied online may follow these directions to pay the tuition balance online.


Refunds & Withdrawals
The Spectrum tuition payment is refunded only if one of the following situations occurs:

  • a course is canceled;
  • a student cannot be placed in any of his or her choices; or
  • a student withdraws in writing before June 12, 2009.
Please note the following policies:
  • All requests for refunds and/or withdrawals must be made in writing and either e-mailed, faxed or mailed to CTD byJune 12, 2009.
  • The tuition deposit is non-refundable after June 12, 2009.
  • If a student withdraws in writing between the June 12 deadline and the start of the program, CTD will refund 50% of the program fees paid, less the deposit.
  • Students who withdraw after the start of a program receive no refund.
  • Students dismissed for disciplinary reasons are not eligible for any refund.
  • The $60 application fee is not refundable except in cases where the course is closed or financial aid is not adequate for participation.
  • Refund processing takes a minimum of eight weeks starting from the time a written request is received by CTD.
