Activity/Lab - Are the drivers on Sheridan road speeding?  We put our newly learned knowledge about velocity to the test!  In the end, we not only learned more about motion, but we identified common errors in experimental design and discussed possible improvements that would reduce measurement errors.

Waiting for our next speeder ...

Ready to measure time for known distance.

Another group ready to measure time.

Building Project - Kites carried Chinese military scouts skyward over 3000 years ago.  We began our journey through the history of aviation by building kites and flying them.

Taping the keel to the sail.

Securing the center spar.

Adding the side spars.

Checking all of the taped edges.

Preparing the kite for the final spar.

Running to get the kite airbourne.

Kites continued to rise in the gusty wind.

Making some on-site repairs.
