Activity/Lab - We began the day finally getting a chance to try out our hot air balloons.  The "launcher" heated the air inside the balloon ... and since hot air is less dense than cold air, the balloon should rise.  Unfortunately, we only had one balloon rise significantly.  Back inside, we collected data for use in a position-time graph. Trying out the launcher for the first time. Preparing the first 9 foot balloon for launch. Right before lift-off  Unfortunately, it did not rise off the ground. Second try with a 9 foot balloon. And this time it worked... ...at least for a little bit of time! Collecinting position-time data ... .. and again ... .. and again!  Building Project - We built balsa wood gliders today! Making some finishing touches ... .. and again ... .. and again!
