Gary Greenberg Technology for Children Scholarship

The Gary Greenberg Technology for Children Scholarship provides a tuition scholarship for a student with financial need who enrolls in a qualifying technology course in CTD's 1- or 2-week Academic Day Camps. Depending upon the funds available, one or more students may receive full or partial scholarships. This summer the following courses are eligible:

  • Robots and Coding (K - Grade 1)
  • Coding for Game Designers (Grades 4-5)
  • Web Design (Grades 5-6)

Students who meet the academic entrance criteria for the CTD Academic Summer Day Camp, receive acceptance to a technology course, and demonstrate financial need are eligible for the scholarship.

Application Procedure

To apply, complete the online application form. As part of the application, students must submit an "essay", with the help of a parent/guardian but with the ideas conceived by the child, telling why they want to take the course and one thing they want to learn from the course. Essays may be in written form (e.g. drawing with dictation, child's own writing) or other media (e.g. 30 second audio, video). If you are not applying for financial aid, parents/guardians must also submit a brief statement (a paragraph or two) describing the need for financial support.

Application Deadline

Applications are due by April 15.
