Test Dates

Most students who register for NUMATS test on a Saturday morning in January or February.  Non-Saturday test dates are also available for students whose religion prohibits testing on Saturday.

For ACT and SAT testers (students in grades 6 through 9) who have conflicts with the January and February test dates, other dates are available.  Students who register for alternate ACT and SAT test dates will receive the same preparation and follow-up materials as those who choose the January and February test dates.  The only test dates available for EXPLORE testers (students in grades 3 through 6) are in January and February.

Note:  Students taking the ACT or SAT in grades 6 through 8 must test before March to have their scores considered for the award ceremonies (students in grade 9 are not eligible for award ceremonies). 

Students who register as early as possible for a test date are more likely to be assigned to their first- or second-choice test center.  Test centers are assigned by the testing agencies, and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  If seats are not available at the test centers you choose, the testing agencies will assign you to the nearest available test center.
