Mr. Popper's Penguins & Beyond: An Exhaustive List for Avid Readers

CTD Research Director (and parent of gifted kids) Dana Turner Thomson sent us the following suggestion: "Just in case there are any other parents out there whose kids have already blown through their summer reading lists... Here's a great (and long) list of books that are particularly good for gifted young readers because they are substantive but the language and topics are appropriate for their chronological/emotional age": A list for younger readers (up to age 7) There is also a list for the age 7-12 crowd. (Thanks for the links, Dana!) What about you? Are your kids in need of more books at this point in the summer to bring on vacation, for poolside reading, etc.? Do you have suggestions that are not on this list?
