Pathfinders Webinar: Ways to support your student in creating an ePortfolio
While our students already live in a digital world, the pandemic has accelerated their need to understand and utilize online learning tools. Students are now expected to move fluidly between both the traditional classroom setting and online educational platforms. However, this new way of operating creates a question. How do we help students visualize and display their educational journey across all these platforms and settings?
An ePortfolio is a multimedia representation of a student’s learning path. It is a way to show off your student’s growth as a learner, display their passions, and help visualize their learning journey. EPortfolios are widely used for presentation purposes, for interviews/applications, and generally as a way to showcase student work. In this session, Andrew Bauer, CTD’s Online Content and Community Manager, will share the power of both ePortfolios and micro-credentials (badges). Topics and resources include the following:
- - Discussing the importance of documenting and visualizing using an ePortfolio
- - Sharing how you can help your student set up an ePortfolio through CTD
- - Spotlighting the CTD student Pathfinder’s badging platform on Schoology
Time will be made available after the webinar for questions. For more information, please email Andrew Bauer at andrew.bauer@northwestern.edu.
