Practicing Critical and Creative Thinking with Children

May 7, 2024
1:00pm - 2:00pm CDT
Online

The Northwestern Alumni Association and Center for Talent Development invite you to a special webinar designed for parents of children in preschool through late elementary or middle school.

The use of thinking routines and higher-level questions is necessary for the development of critical and creative thinking skills. The good news is that children (and adults!) love inquiry! Even as an adult, though, you may need more practice with or examples of what constitutes “higher-level” questioning, how to incorporate thinking routines into fun, family centered activities, and why making the time to do so matters. Join Susan Corwith, director of Northwestern’s Center for Talent Development, for a discussion about these topics and a few simple strategies you can use with your child. This session is best for parents of children in preschool through late elementary or middle school.

Location: Virtual, presented by the Northwestern Alumni Association
