Custom-designed service-learning and leadership programs allow students to engage in hands-on service with communities, learn about important social problems and inspiring solutions, and bring their leadership skills to the next level. Learn more.

Curriculum Development

CTD’s Civic Education Project provides curriculum development support to educators in the areas of service-learning, civics, and social justice education to align with local standards, including Illinois’ civics mandates at the middle and high school levels. Learn more.

CTD Enrichment Units are built around high-interest topics in STEM and English & Language Arts and provide depth and breadth to core curriculum for students grades K-5. "It's not a place where kids are sitting, just sort of listening to an adult talk at them. They're really actually putting forth ideas, making connections, identifying problems, creating solutions themselves."
